So Long, Farewell...to 2010

So I'm NEVER going to be able to make good on my resolution to update weekly...but I do have the best intentions of posting updates often...so here we go with the first post of 2011!!

I can't even believe 2010 is over - it just flew by way too quickly! I was thinking on NYE that just one short year ago Annie was only 2 months old ringing in her first New Year. Now my little baby has turned into quite the big girl! Monday Annie officially graduated from the "baby" class at school and started in the "big girl" room! It's been a BIG adjustment and the poor thing is just worn out from this week...but she is having a ball! She takes naps on a cot...how that happens I have NO CLUE because I can guarantee that would never work at home...sometimes peer pressure is a good thing, ha! :) She's the youngest and the smallest and we were fairly warned that it was a much "tougher" crowd at this age...she gets her toys stollen frequently and was bitten once, but all in all she didn't fare too badly for being the new kid! By Friday she was confident enough to elbow her way to the front of the group to sit next to the teacher...she's learning to hold her own. While it will be a tough adjustment, Annie is doing great, and Quinn and I are so proud of our big girl!!

We had such fun ringing in the New Year with our good friends the West Family and meeting some new friends too! Annie and their sweet little girl, Elizabeth, had a baby sleepover and went right to sleep after some fun playtime, so us parents could enjoy a "grown-up" dinner and fun game time! We're excited for a Hearts re-match soon...thank you for a fantastic evening Shauna and Olin!
